The clothes in English: a pullover, a sweater, a jumper, a jacket... (Одежда по-английски)

A sweater is a warm piece of clothing with long sleeves, made of knitted wool or other material and worn on the upper part of the body: a turtleneck sweater.
You can wear a sweatshirt for a workout. ... Sweatshirts are one of the many clothes worn in summer. Sometimes sweatshirts are made with heavy cotton.
Some may refer to sweatshirts as a hoodie, too. The material is thick cotton and sweatshirts have lining inside them to absorb moisture.
A sweater with an open front fastened by buttons or a zipper is generally called a cardigan, but the nomenclature for other styles in different dialects can be quite confusing. In British English, a sweater may also be called a pullover, jumper or jersey.
A hoodie (also spelled hoody) is a sweatshirt or a jacket with a hood. Hoodies often include a muff sewn onto the lower front, and (usually) a drawstring (шнурок) to adjust the hood opening.
Jackets usually have an open front closed by buttons, a zipper or both.
Simple solids (sweaters) are the most formal, with patterns, whether woven in or stitched, making the garment more casual.
A jumper dress (in American English), pinafore dress (сарафан) or informally pinafore (British English) is a sleeveless, collarless dress intended to be worn over a blouse, shirt, T-shirt or sweater.
A tank top sometimes may actually be a vest. A true tank top is an overgarment, similar to a pullover but sleeveless and usually with a rounded neckline. They were last popular in the UK in the 1970s.
Bermuda shorts, also known as walk shorts or dress shorts, are a particular type of short trousers, worn as semi-casual attire by both men and women.
